About the project
Creating a luxury abode nestled within a lush green landscape, the Private Residence in New Delhi is the epitome of contemporary living with classical design elements. The design follows the conversion of an existing recreation space to a residential accommodation catering to the modern lifestyle of the client and his family.
The lighting design was done in such a way as to create interesting light and shadow patterns and accentuate the collonaded facade — the main feature of the beautiful building, thereby providing a distinguished character to the entire project.
Design Intent
The front wings have been highlighted by using uplighting, while the central double-height space has been kept dark without any lighting. Additionally, accent lighting has been used in the various arches placed behind the columns. This play of light and shadow — known as Sciography — adds an element of excitement to the design.
To meet the lighting intent and achieve the desired lighting levels, Litolux products were used. Overall, the lighting design of the facade of the Private residence creates an alluring Halo effect that makes it appear surreal during the nighttime.
